Sent here by “cannot reach the product at …”?

That message names two different problems. Only the second one is about this site, and the first one is usually fixable in under a minute.

You have the product, and it stopped working

The error printed two things to check, and both are worth checking before anything else:

1. Is the product server running? The error fires whenever it cannot be reached, and a stopped server is the most common reason.
2. Do host and port match? The error prints the exact values it tried, as host= and port=. Compare them against where your product server is actually listening.

If either was wrong, fixing it and retrying is the whole fix. Nothing on this page is needed.

You do not have the product yet

Then there is nothing to download today. The product server is not publicly installable — that work is in progress, and this page is where the install instructions will appear when there are any.

The plugin and the product are separate downloads, so having the plugin installed does not mean the product is.
